Abounding Grace & Gospel Talk

 Abounding Grace and Gospel Talk are two daily radio programs on KARI that form a unique partnership for the advance of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Pastor Chris Gordon from the Lynden United Reformed Church (left) has been the host of Abounding Grace since its beginning in 2006.  Abounding Grace is a radio ministry fully supported by the Lynden URC.  In June 2007, Pastor Gordon invited Pastor Wes Bredenhof from the Langley Canadian Reformed Church to join him for the Friday programs.  The Friday programs feature discussion on important issues facing Christians and their churches today.  Abounding Grace is heard Monday-Friday at 8:30 AM.   

 In 2008, the Canadian Reformed Broadcasting Association approached Pastor Bredenhof about the possibility of beginning a daily afternoon radio broadcast to complement what the Lynden URC was doing in the morning with Abounding Grace.  With the support of the Canadian and American Reformed Churches in the Fraser Valley and NW Washington State, Gospel Talk took to the air in the beginning of December 2008.  The Friday discussions between Pastor Gordon and Bredenhof are also broadcast on Gospel Talk.  Gospel Talk is heard Monday-Friday at 2:45 PM.

With both radio programs, the goal is the same:  to exalt Christ and to proclaim his good news.  This goal arises from our hearty commitment to historic Protestant Christianity.  Both Pastor Gordon and Pastor Bredenhof believe that the Bible must form the only foundation both for individual Christians and for Christian churches.  The Bible is what constantly brings believers back to the gospel and to the only Saviour.  For Gospel Talk and Abounding Grace, the Biblically-grounded mottos of the Protestant Reformation are vitally important touchstones:  sola fide (by faith alone), sola gratia (by grace alone), sola Scriptura (by Scripture alone), solus Christus (through Christ alone), and sola Dei gloria (to God alone the glory).
